THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

Christmas depicts commemoration of God given Gift to the world, which was wrapped in swaddling cloth beneath the star on great and holy night, the Gift of His begotten son (JESUS CHRIST) as a proof of His great love towards man (John 3:16). The reason for the season Jesus Christ (Son of God) demonstrated love and humility as Christ came as a baby to dwell amidst of men to save souls. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13). In line of this, the Christmas in the heart is the Christmas in the air; to spread this good tiding of God’s love, Christmas affords you a unique opportunity to connect the unsaved with God.  The gift of salvation must not be left out as we are showing love to others via exchange of gifts. Please let us touch as many lives as possible this season for Jesus is the reason for this season and all seasons.

Therefore, extending arms to orphanage homes, Prisons, Hospitals and Villages in demonstrating Christ love can never be over emphasized. I am also using this medium to remind/ introduce you to one of the platforms for the season “TOUCHING LIVES AT CHRISTMAS (TLC)” is a one-day outreach that takes place on Christmas day. It is organized by THE KINGDOM PROJECT (TKP) for the entire body of Christ. On the day of Christmas, people of God are led to various villages to tell the unbelievers about the meaning of Christmas and also demonstrate the love of Christ by giving gifts and other materials.  The Christian Doctors among the participants treat the villagers giving them drugs free of charge. This outreach that started in 2001 with 80 Brethren participating has been witnessing a steady growth both in number of Christians that are participating and in number of villages/communities and individuals lives that are being touched. The report of TLC 2015 showed that 6218 brethren left their comfort zone and spread themselves over 354 Villages, 1 Prisons and 3 Hospitals, 1 Leprosarium cutting across 10 African Countries. By the time the sun was setting on that faithful day, over 7603 souls had experienced salvation through Christ Jesus. You can be part of this year outreach.
